Operational since November 2000: The WIKON Internet of things platform for M2M. All installations of WIKON products report centralized to the server park of WIKON: the Global DataCenter. 24/7 - 365 days and in 12 languages, receiving data from about 40 countries worldwide.
The Global DataCenter produces reports of the various system states for every WIKON client. These are displayed and forwarded via password protected websites and ordered by alarm lists. How does the Global DataCenter work?
More than 50,000 remote monitoring systems world wide report to the Global DataCenter of WIKON first. Here all reports are being saved and displayed on customer individualized websites.
Every customer can organize the forwarding of messages themselves via their own individual portal: forwarding can be done to e-mail addresses, via fax or cellphone devices. On demand, we can provide individual portals for the respective brand or business. These portal-within-portal solutions are available in 12 languages.
Data integrity and security both play a crucial role in regards of data transfer
WIKON has reliable communication pathways from the end-device in the field to the Global DataCenter via a direct connection to global GSM providers like Vodafone or T-Mobile. That way high throughput rates are achieved. On the other hand side this maximizes reliability on the transmission path. Regarding packet oriented communication, WIKON offers private APNs, which provide a secure pathway of communication with the WIKON infrastructure, seperate from the public worldwide web.
The redundant cloud servers that WIKON uses, which are responsible for the actual data processing, are located in a certified, state of the art computer center.
A team of experienced IT-speacialists takes care of maintenance and updating all systems.
Mobile end devices
For mobile end devices like smartphones or tablets we offer apps that are tailor made to our customer's individual needs. These can be acquired from the respective Marketplace or AppStore. That way you keep in touch, even when you're away. In addition to that you can access the Global DataCenter via mobile websites via your smartphone browser. With your personal login you are automatically being directed to an optimized version for your mobile end device.
